What is FX Movie Channel and who owns it?

FX Movie Channel is a TV channel that focuses solely on airing movies. It is part of the FX Networks group, which also includes the general entertainment channels FX and FXX. These networks originally launched under Fox but are now owned by The Walt Disney Company following Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox assets. FX Movie Channel operates within Disney's media portfolio but stands apart by concentrating almost exclusively on films rather than scripted series or comedy programming, which are the focus of FX and FXX.

FX Movie Channel broadcasts a broad selection of feature films, ranging from classic titles to more recent releases. Its lineup covers multiple genres, including action, drama, comedy, thriller, and science fiction. The channel regularly airs movies rated PG, PG-13, and R.
